Testimonials

Patient 1: Male Age 37

"For numerous years, I had placed the majority of my focus on my career as a runner. The path of a professional athlete requires extreme focus and perseverance. In order to achieve the goals that I had set for myself, I had to pay careful attention to my diet, exercise regime and continuously pushing myself to further surpass each peak that I met.

In terms of my appearance, I was often more aware of my body than anything else. But at one point, while I was preparing for a trip to Germany for a race, I looked briefly in the mirror and had a jolted shock. My hair was really starting to thin, and recede. I came out of the bathroom, and asked my wife what she thought….she said that she had been meaning to mention it, but felt that my focus was such that it wouldn’t matter too much to me. But when I stepped back into the bathroom to look again…oh, it did matter. I did not like what I saw, it didn’t look like how strong I felt inside – and right away I had a flash vision of my head resembling my father’s infamous shiny dome….no, I couldn’t let that happen.

After my return from Germany, I looked into my options. My family doctor referred me to Dr. Thomas Kohn. After an initial assessment appointment, he confirmed that he could help me achieve a full head of hair again. The process would run over 2 -4 sessions, and he reassured me that his extensive experience and expertise would serve me well

I walked out of Dr. Kohn’s office feeling exhilarated, almost akin to how I would feel after a race! I was confident that Dr. Kohn had the ability to vanquish my fear of the shiny dome into myth.

Several months later, I had a handsome head of thick hair. I was training for a race and felt terrific. I will recommend Dr. Thomas Kohn’s clinic to anyone who begins to realize that they don’t want to live with a bald head. There are options, and all it took for me – was a shift of focus. Now I can place my focus back to where it had always been – my running."

Patient 2: Female Age 68

"Early in the year 2000, I first spotted the receding hair line, and also the thinning of my eyebrows. The wind had caught my hair and my reflection in a store font window, and I was stunned to see how much the hair line was receded. It was devastating! This disease has now been defined as ‘Postmenopausal Frontal Fibrosis Alopecia’ (scarring Alopecia) called by one doctor as ‘abnormal male-pattern-baldness’. It resulted in a symmetrical band of hair loss between 3-6 cm together with sun-damaged mottled forehead.

Here started the numerous doctors’ appointments, each one in turn referring me to another doctor – then another doctor. They had not ever seen this particular pattern of hair loss in all of their years of practice - some of which extended over 30 to 35 years.

Following these visits, came one year of monthly appointments at the hair clinic in The Royal Victoria Hospital, where I was subjected to dozens of various treatments – none of which proved to be effective.

At this point, it was determined that I as an excellent candidate for the hair transplantation. Firstly, I had a good full healthy ‘donor area’ (back of head) I also enjoyed very good health. By the way, I was also a runner!

At this point I underwent 3 sessions with minimal discomfort or pain.

Today, I am very happy and grateful with the results. It is great to see hair framing my face. I have a very natural looking hairline, normal in thickness for my age group. The hair can be treated like any normal hair. I can even use curlers, hair dryer & permanents.

I now have enjoyed good hair for a year and a half. No more wigs which I had worn for over two years. No more bad hair days (well, maybe just a few) also, great to have regained my self-esteem. Many thanks to Dr. Sassanville for referring me to Dr. Thomas Kohn."

Patient 3: Male Age 56

"I had my first hair transplant almost forty years ago, when the process was still in it’s infancy stage, and I was beginning to go bald. Through the years I went to several different doctors who added more hair. The result was clumps of hair and a low, jagged hairline. It seemed that when I walked down the street, everyone was looking at my forehead, rather than my eyes. Finally, I met Dr. Kohn through a friend of mine; Dr. Kohn had performed a great transplant on him the year before. But I still had my doubts about whether anyone could fix mine. Tom Kohn did! And now when I walk down the street, people stare right into my eyes."

Patient 4: Male Age 72

"As a recipient of two hair transplant operations, I would like to take this opportunity to express my utmost satisfaction and happiness of the work you and your assistants provided to me.

What your clinic did is over and above of my expectation. You, and your assistants are in a class by themselves. The professional behaviour and skill of everyone is very impressive. The after-transplant care is really exemplary.

In summary, I thank every member of the clinic for the two successful transplants. If time permits, I may come for a third one.

It's nice to have hair again."
